International bestselling author Manel Loureiro (Pontevedra, 1975) is a writer and lawyer who has worked in television, both on-screen (appearing on Televisión de Galicia) and behind-the-scenes as a writer. At present he collaborates in the newspaper El Mundo as well as in Spain National Radio (RNE) and several Spanish TV.
His first novel, Apocalypse Z. The Beginning of the End, began as an Internet blog that he wrote in his spare time.
Due to the great success it achieved (it became a viral phenomenon with more than a million and a half online readers), it was published in 2007, becoming a best seller. His following works, The Dark Days, The Wrath of the Just, The Last Passenger, Fulgor and Twenty, have been a bestseller not only in Spain, but in many other countries around the world. Manel Loureiro is one of the few contemporary Spanish authors who has managed to place his books on the bestseller list in the United States.
